- What do you think is the most important issue happening today? -

For me, I think "Global Warming" is the most important issue at the present. The climate change is becoming more serious and the evidence is that the Earth's poles are warming 2 times faster than the global average. 

For human health, the impacts of global climate change will make both summer and winter become hotter, creating conditions for many emerging diseases, pandemic, old disease outbreaks return. Its predicted that if global temperatures rise about 3 or 5 degrees Celsius, there will be about 50-80 million people fall into danger of malaria every year. Air quality, drinking water decreased; cities with high pollution levels would be alarmed for being the reasons that lead to respiratory diseases and infectious SARS… 

To limit global warming, the countries need to restrict and closely manage the use of fossil fuels and other greenhouse gases. Promote research and application of new clean fuels environmentally as well as hydrogen fuel, green fuel and other renewable fuels. Management and conservation of forests, agricultural land, water resources and ecosystem are important for sustainable development to protect the planet from catastrophic climate change.


As a student, I'll try my best to be a part of the solution to global warming. Whenever I can, I'll recycle paper, plastic, newspaper, glass and aluminum cans. I'll Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning; use less hot water; start planting some trees; and I'll also encourage others to conserve.
